New LLP Members

The Partners are pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Rainbow on 1st December 2007 as the first woman Partner in the Firm's sixty year history. A graduate of Durham University, Sam trained with Coopers and Lybrand where she was a prize winning student. She joined the Philips Electronics Group after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant where she gained experience in both financial and management accounting.

Treble Top

Steve Peart Kenneth Easby students produced a treble winning performance at the recent Institute of Chartered Accountants Advance Stage examinations. Helen Peacock, Rebecca Colman and Rebecca Smith all passed to qualify as Chartered Accountants, bringing the total number of qualified Accountants in the Firm to seventeen.

Helen will continue to work with Partner Colin Hutson at the Bedale office while Rebecca Colman will remain at the Darlington office with Colin Syers and Rebecca Smith will continue in Northallerton office working with Ken Graham.

Congratulations to all three who have received just rewards for their efforts.

Christmas Cheer

Bedale office staff again chose not to send each other Christmas cards and instead made a substantial donation to local charity, Dales-Care.
