35 Not Out

Congratulations to Shirley Metcalfe, Secretary at Bedale office, who recently completed 35 years’ service with the firm.

Starting in the year Sunderland last won the FA Cup, Shirley worked for Mr Ken Easby until his retirement in 1987. She continues to work in the Bedale office reception to the present day. Bedale office staff held a surprise presentation ceremony for her attended by a mystery guest, husband John, where she was presented with flowers and Marks and Spencer vouchers from the Partners and a chocolate cake.

New Appointments

Matthew Richardson The Partners are pleased to announce the appointments of Matthew Richardson and Joe Hargreaves to trainee positions within the Northallerton and Darlington offices respectively.

A qualified Accounting Technician, Matthew is a keen golfer who also confesses to being
Joe Hargreaves an avid supporter of Middlesbrough FC.

A former pupil of Yarm School, Joe is a graduate in Biochemistry from Manchester University where he developed his love for rugby and he now plays for Guisborough RFC.

Prize Winner

The Partners are pleased to announce that Helen Peacock has won the CU Peat prize awarded by the Teesside Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants as a result of passing her Advanced Stage ACA examinations.

Congratulations to Helen from us all – she has received just reward for the wholehearted effort she has put into her studies.
